Amid the possibility of another agitation by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and other student outfits against the SIR and the Election Commission in the coming days, the Home Ministry has directed the Delhi Police and paramilitary forces to work in cohesion and ensure better coordination so that there is no repeat of the violence witnessed during the July agitation over paper leaks.According to sources aware of the developments, following the backlash faced by the security forces and Delhi Police, particularly after several people suffered pellet-gun injuries during the coercive action against protesters at Jantar Mantar on July 20, the Union Home Ministry conveyed the need for better coordination and a more human-centric approach to both the police and security forces.
