Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said Indias per capita carbon emissions are less than half the global average and asserted that India is the only G20 nation to have fulfilled its Paris COP-21 commitments ahead of schedule.Inaugurating an international conference on environment and climate in the national capital, Modi said developing countries had often been unfairly blamed for carbon emissions and highlighted Indias environmental progress over the past 12 years. “Over the past 12 years, India has made extraordinary progress in every field related to the environment,” he said.
