North Korea is rapidly taking its nuclear strike capabilities to the high seas. Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un personally supervised a comprehensive live-fire weapons test aboard the newly repaired Kang Kon, a powerful 5,000-ton multipurpose destroyer. According to state-run media, the exercises included the successful launch of a strategic cruise missile, alongside evaluations of the warship’s main naval artillery, automatic guns, radar tracking, and electronic warfare suites. Satisfied with the results, Kim declared the vessel ready for combat operations and ordered it to enter full naval commission within the next two months.
