NEW DELHI: The Calcutta high court has reversed the death sentence of a man convicted of killing his wife with an axe to life imprisonment, saying the trial court had not properly considered whether he could change and lead a better life. The high court also noted that the man had no previous criminal record, was receiving counselling and had a minor son and an elderly mother to look after.
