The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet approved 20% horizontal reservation for former Agniveers in direct recruitment for Jail Warder and Enforcement Constable posts. Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna said the quota will apply within candidates’ existing social categories. Former Agniveers will also receive a three-year maximum age relaxation to increase participation in the recruitment process.
