Bhopal’s Kolar Shuts Down As 800 Traders Hit Streets, Stage Mock Funeral Against BMC Sealing Drive
Nearly 700-800 traders shut shops across a 10-km stretch of Bhopal’s Kolar and staged a mock funeral of their businesses to protest BMC’s sealing drive. Traders carried a symbolic bier, tonsured their heads and performed a mock cremation. BMC has issued 8,264 notices and sealed 170 properties so far.
