Agartala police arrested two youths from outside Tripura on Wednesday, seizing three sophisticated pistols and 50 cartridges. The arrests, made at Bhutani Market following intelligence on an arms handover, occurred amidst heightened security for the civic elections on November 27. Police suspect an interstate arms smuggling gang is involved, with the youths having travelled to the state by train.
