A 30-year-old woman, Barsha Kakoti, was found brutally murdered inside her home at Hatigarh under Bokajan police station limits in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district. Neighbours alerted family after she went missing during the day. Police suspect sexual assault. The case has been handed over to Assam CID for further investigation and to trace the unidentified attackers.
