President Donald Trump has made a surprise public offer to UFC president and CEO Dana White, asking his longtime friend to become the next White House press secretary. In a Truth Social post on November 7, Trump praised the mixed martial arts executive and declared, “Dana will be a Press Secretary like none other.” He then urged White to accept the position, adding, “Dana, please take the job!” The unusual announcement comes amid fresh political turmoil in Washington following Republicans' defeat in the 2026 US midterm elections.
