President Droupadi Murmu on Monday conferred the Padma Awards at Rashtrapati Bhavan, recognising individuals for their distinguished contributions across a wide range of fields. The Padma Awards are among the highest civilian honours of the country and are conferred in three categories -- Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri. This year, the Centre approved 131 Padma awards, including five Padma Vibhushan, 13 Padma Bhushan and 113 Padma Shri honours. President Murmu on Monday presented Padma awards to 66 recipients.
