The Macallan dismantled standard age statements with the 1824 Series. Instead of counting years, they focused purely on natural color and the profound influence of European and American oak casks. This release captures that exact philosophy. Matured entirely in sherry oak casks from Jerez, Spain, the liquid draws its brilliant hue entirely from the wood without any artificial coloring. The maturation process dictates everything here. First-fill and refill casks blend seamlessly to create a lighter, markedly more vibrant expression than the typical heavy sherry bombs associated with the estate. Citrus and orchard fruits dominate the distillate. Master Whisky Maker Bob Dalgarno engineered this profile to prove that immense complexity doesn't always require decades in a warehouse. Includes the discontinued Macallan Gold from the 1824 Series Presented in a custom gift box with two branded tasting glasses Matured exclusively in sherry seasoned oak casks
