Vice President JD Vance turned personal while talking about America’s military future, invoking his 9-year-old son as he argued that U.S. troops should enter any future conflict equipped with weapons and technology built by American workers.Vance listed “rifles, missiles, drones, autonomous ships and non-autonomous ships” while asking whether U.S. service members have the tools they need to complete their missions, return home safely and “kick ass in the process.” He then revealed that his oldest son dreams of becoming either a paleontologist or a Marine Corps general.
