Audit flags delay in commissioning HAU’s biogas purification system - The Tribune
The Rs 6-crore agri-farm waste-based biogas plant project has been lying unutilised in the Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agriculture University (HAU) as the biogas purification system integral to its functioning remains non-commissioned for over seven years.The Principal Accountant General (Audit) has flagged that the expenditure of Rs 31.53 lakh for the biogas purification system remained unfruitful and pointed to deficiencies in contract management and monitoring. The audit report has described the issue as “unfruitful expenditure for non-commissioning and non-utilisation of biogas purification system”.
