Animal welfare NGO In Defence of Stray rescued four goats, including two pregnant females, from Mumbai’s Deonar Abattoir ahead of Bakri Eid. The animals were purchased before slaughter and shifted to a shelter in Lonavala, where they will receive lifelong care and rehabilitation.
