Karnataka food safety officials seized products valued at Rs 5.99 lakh during a special inspection drive. The drive targeted sweet manufacturing units across several districts on August 31. Expired curd and improperly labelled chocolate decorations were among the seized items. Misbranded food products lacking mandatory details were also confiscated by authorities. The department will initiate legal action against establishments found violating food safety standards.
