Mark Carney delivered an emotional address after four Canadian Armed Forces members were killed and 39 soldiers were injured during a training exercise at CFB Wainwright in Alberta.Carney said the troops were conducting live-fire training when a fast-moving blaze, driven by ferocious winds, jumped nearly a kilometre in less than a minute and swept into the area where soldiers had gathered.Among the dead was Sergeant Morgan Wong of the Loyal Edmonton Regiment, who had previously served with Canada’s NATO allies in Latvia and was preparing for a second tour in Europe.
