AIIMS Bhopal has successfully performed simultaneous cochlear implantation in both ears of a 9-month-old child, described by the treating team as Central India’s youngest recipient. The child is also the first in Madhya Pradesh to receive the latest-generation implant technology, with SmartNav used for real-time monitoring and precise electrode placement during surgery.
