Amit Shah Slams Congress Rally On 1984 Riots Anniversary, Says It Rubs Salt Into Victims’ Wounds - Times of India Videos
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has slammed the Congress for holding its INDIA bloc rally in Delhi on the anniversary of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. Shah accused the party of “rubbing salt into the wounds” of riot victims and their families. The BJP says the timing of the rally shows disrespect towards the Sikh community, while the Congress and the INDIA bloc have maintained that the protest is focused on alleged electoral irregularities and voter-roll deletions. The rival marches have intensified the political battle over the Election Commission, democracy and the legacy of the 1984 violence.
