Pressemitteilung: Global Schedule Reliability for May 2026 the Highest of the Year / Sea-Intelligence has published issue 178 of the Global Liner Performance (GLP) report, with schedule reliability figures up to and including May 2026. As the 120-page report is quite comprehensive and covers schedule reliability across 34 different trade lanes and 60+ carriers, this press release will only cover highlights from the full report. Schedule reliability has been improving M/M since March 2026, with the latest increase of 2.5 percentage points taking the May 2026 figure to 64.7%; the highest in 2026. On a Y/Y level, schedule reliability was lower by ‑1.2 percentage points. The average delay for LATE vessel arrivals deteriorated, increasing by 0.04 days M/M and by 0.88 days Y/Y to 5.52 days. Maersk was the most reliable top-13 carrier in May 2026 with schedule reliability of 78.2%, followed by Hapag-Lloyd with 76.0%, and MSC with 71.6%. Six carriers were in the 60‑70% range and three in the 50-60% range, with Wan Hai the least reliable in May 2026 with schedule reliability of 38.0%. Nine carriers recorded an M/M improvement in schedule reliability in May 2026, while eight of the 13 carriers recorded a Y/Y improvement. (....)
