Bombay HC Rules 5 Paintings Belong To Mafatlal Dyes Liquidation Estate; Rejects Sheetal Mafatlal’s Claim

The Bombay High Court has ruled that five paintings seized from a collection of 44 artworks belong to the liquidation estate of Mafatlal Dyes and Chemicals Ltd, rejecting Sheetal Mafatlal’s ownership claim. The court appointed art expert Sonal Singh Naharwar to oversee their auction. Claims over the remaining 39 paintings are yet to be decided.
