Actor and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan fulfilled the wish of 17-year-old Ponuganti Niranjan, who is battling Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, by personally visiting him in Hanumakonda. Spending nearly 45 minutes with the bedridden teen, Pawan held his hand, watched videos of him recreating his dance moves and gifted ₹1 lakh, an iPad and a pet poodle named Rex. His emotional gesture, along with prayers for the youngster's recovery, moved many and prompted film producers to pledge ₹6 lakh towards Niranjan's treatment.
