Maharashtra's Transport Department is planning a digital platform allowing citizens to find and book the nearest available ambulance through an app or website. Officials said it is expected to display live location, arrival time and charges. The system, being planned with the Health Department, hospitals and private operators, aims to improve emergency response during the critical 'golden hour'.
