Josh O’Connor has given his reaction to being reportedly being among the frontrunners to take over from Daniel Craig as 007. Speaking to the BBC at the opening of a new Everyman theatre education centre in his hometown of Cheltenham, O’Connor said: “It’s an incredible bizarre pinch me moment. Even being uttered in that same sentence and being considered for something like that. “It’s extraordinary, so I’m very honoured - but I’m afraid there’s nothing to say beyond that.” Odds have been slashed on Turner becoming the next 007 after the 36-year-old was seen sipping the spy’s signature martini cocktail in Halloween photos with his wife Dua Lipa, days before former Bond Pierce Brosnan endorsed Turner for the role, describing him as “so strong”.
