Speaking at an Indian diaspora event in South Korea, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh described Operation Sindoor as a reflection of India’s emergence as a strong, confident and capable nation. He said the operation demonstrated that India would not tolerate terrorism in any form. Reaffirming India’s stance as a responsible nuclear power, Singh said the country remained committed to its No First Use policy. However, he added that India’s restraint and commitment to peace should not be mistaken for weakness. Singh further stated that while India continues to follow the No First Use doctrine, it would not tolerate any form of nuclear blackmail, calling it the approach of a “new India”.
