Mumbai: Dharavi Sewage Treatment Plant Reaches 76 Per Cent Completion; BMC Targets May 2027 Deadline For 418 MLD Facility
Mumbai's 418 MLD Dharavi Sewage Treatment Plant is 76% complete, with the BMC targeting May 2027 for completion. The facility will provide 209 MLD of treated water for non-potable use and prevent around 168 MLD of sewage from entering the Mithi River daily. The project is part of a Rs 27,309.83 crore programme covering seven sewage treatment plants across Mumbai.
