The play, ‘Jamun ka Ped’ was staged on Saturday evening as part of the monthly theatre series organised by the North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC), Patiala.Presented at the Kalidasa Auditorium, the Virsa Vihar Kendra under the leadership of NZCC director Ashwin Mahesh Dalvi, the play — performed by Jaipur’s Rangshilp Natya Samiti — delivered a scathing critique of bureaucratic red tape and administrative apathy. A remarkable feature of the production was that 70 per cent of the participating actors were over the age of 70.
