Donald Trump has launched a furious Truth Social attack on Barack Obama and Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed after the former president criticised Trump's Iran war during campaign rallies in Ohio and Michigan. Trump accused Obama of empowering Iran through the 2015 nuclear deal, mocked his record of backing losing Democratic presidential candidates and targeted El-Sayed with unsubstantiated allegations of extremist ties, calling him a “Muslim Brotherhood Jihadist” and a “Fake Doctor.” The explosive remarks came after Obama defended El-Sayed at a Detroit rally and the Senate hopeful told Republican rival Mike Rogers to take Trump back to Florida. With the Michigan Senate race heating up, the confrontation has sparked a fresh Trump-Obama political showdown.
