Canada is signaling a closer trade partnership with Mexico as tensions with Donald Trump’s administration continue to reshape North American commerce.Minister Dominic LeBlanc said Ottawa remains in regular contact with Mexican officials and stressed that Canada wants all three countries back at the same table for the USMCA review. He argued that Canada and Mexico face many of the same pressure points — including steel and automobiles — while Ottawa looks to reduce its dependence on any single trading partner.
