The Trinamool Congress has alleged that party chief and former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was prevented from visiting Baruipur. TMC leaders claimed heavy police deployment and barricades were placed outside Banerjee's Kalighat residence before her planned visit. Party MP Dola Sen questioned the police action, while TMC leader Kunal Ghosh alleged that Banerjee was stopped from leaving and claimed, citing sources, that the barricades could remain in place the following day. Visuals showed a significant police presence outside Mamata Banerjee's residence, with similar deployment also reported near Abhishek Banerjee's house.
