US eases oil sanctions on Iran after Vance says it has agreed to nuclear inspections - The Times of India
TOI correspondent from Washington: US vice-president JD Vance emerged from two days of talks with Iranian leaders in the Swiss Alps over the weekend claiming a “major milestone” of having persuaded Tehran to allow inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) back into the country, reopening a pathway to international monitoring of its nuclear program. Soon after, the Trump administration lifted oil sanctions on Iran, issuing a 60-day waiver authorizing the sale and transport of Iranian crude and petroleum products through August, a concession designed to keep negotiations alive.
