SEBI Eases Rules For Research Analysts, Removes Mandatory Call Recording Requirement For Institutional Investors
SEBI has removed mandatory call recording requirements for research analysts interacting with institutional investors, effective November 8. Analysts must still maintain legally verifiable records of client and prospective client communications, including emails, SMS or signed documents. Records must generally be preserved for five years, with extensions for unresolved disputes.
