Coal-driven growth raised PM2.5 pollution, urban deaths in India: Study - The Tribune
India’s rapid economic growth since 2000 has driven a near-fourfold increase in electricity demand, over three-quarters of which was satisfied using coal, resulting in higher levels of PM2.5 pollution in the air and increasing urban deaths between 2000 and 2020, according to a new study.
