Preliminary work on the city’s Rs 417.37-crore, 3.536-km elevated corridor has begun ahead of Simhastha 2028, with barricading underway near Charak Bhawan. Traders have opposed the four-lane project, citing land constraints and earlier land surrender. Meanwhile, three electrical poles for Simhastha infrastructure were stolen from Bapu Nagar and the matter is under investigation.
