A 28-year-old labourer died after his neck became trapped between wooden planks beneath a bridge over the Gadganga River in Khilchipur. Rescue efforts lasted nearly two hours before his body was recovered downstream. His family alleged safety lapses and demanded Rs 1 crore compensation from the municipality and concerned contractor.
