Russian President Vladimir Putin appeared to take a pointed swipe at the changing relationship between U.S. leaders and CNN during a press conference with RT journalist Rick Sanchez. Sanchez praised Putin for giving journalists from Western outlets, including CNN and the BBC, opportunities to ask questions. Putin then remarked that “something changed in the U.S.” and said he did not think CNN was being called on anymore. Putin added that the issue was “none of our business” and that Russia does not interfere in U.S. affairs. The exchange came during a wider discussion on the Ukraine conflict, previous peace negotiations and the prospects for future talks.
