'Remove Encroachments First, Not Gabion Wall': Bombay HC Tells BMC On Charkop Pond Protection
The Bombay High Court directed the BMC to first remove encroachments and construction debris around the Charkop pond in Kandivali before pursuing a gabion wall project. The court said illegal structures are the primary threat to the pond and adjoining mangroves and asked the civic body to take a firm stand against encroachments.
