Kolkata Chor Bagan Stampede Case Sees Second Arrest After 19 Deaths, Police Probe Pandal Collapse Announcements
Kolkata Police arrested Kushal Majumdar, the second accused in the Chor Bagan Durga Puja stampede that killed 19 people. Investigators allege announcements warning of a collapsing pandal triggered panic. Majumdar's wife claimed he was framed. A six-member SIT is investigating the tragedy, while organisers have been asked to preserve the pandal.
