Fisheries and Ports Minister Nitesh Rane has directed officials to desilt lakes across drought-hit Ahilyanagar to increase water storage, improve soil fertility and support local fisheries. He also called for wider access to central and state schemes for farmers and fisherfolk, with District Collector Dr Pankaj Ashiya tasked with regular monitoring.
