Rapido penalised Rs 10 lakh for ‘advance tipping’, asked to desist from coercing customers to pay more - The Times of India
Cracking down on “advance tipping”, Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has imposed Rs 10 lakh penalty on ride-hailing platform Rapido. The authority has also found “confirm shaming” and “interface interference” in the platform’s ride-booking interface and has directed it to discontinue misleading prompts and practices that steer consumers towards paying more.
