After Oman, US Ally Qatar Resumes Iran Shipping, Direct Trade Move Shocks Trump - Times of India Videos
Qatar has resumed direct maritime trade with Iran after a five-month suspension, marking a notable development in Gulf regional ties. According to Iranian state media, shipping between Iran's Dayyer Port and Qatar's Al Ruwais Port has restarted following coordination between the Iranian embassy in Doha and Qatari authorities. Iran's commercial attaché in Doha, Abbas Abdolkhani, confirmed the development to Reuters. The move comes after heightened regional tensions following U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran and Tehran's subsequent missile and drone attacks, including strikes targeting U.S. facilities in Qatar. Despite hosting one of the largest U.S. military bases in the Middle East, Qatar has maintained working relations with Iran and has played a key role in regional diplomacy.
