BREAKING: A plane crash in Blair Township, Grand Traverse County, Michigan, has triggered a major emergency response near County Road 633 and Blair Townhall Road. Grand Traverse 911 said the aircraft went down in the area, prompting authorities to close nearby roads and urge people to stay away. Initial eyewitness and social media reports identified the aircraft as an F-16 fighter jet, but authorities had not officially confirmed the aircraft type. Unverified reports also suggested that two people may have ejected and that at least one person was conscious. Officials had not confirmed those claims, injuries, fatalities, the aircraft’s operator or the cause of the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
