A deleted 2013 Father's Day post by U.S. Congresswoman Ilhan Omar has resurfaced, reigniting allegations that she married her brother. The post referred to her father as “Nur Said,” while other public records identify him as “Nur Omar Mohamed.” The similarity between the name in the post and that of her former husband, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, has attracted renewed scrutiny amid a reported federal investigation into her immigration and naturalization records. Omar has repeatedly denied the marriage allegations and insists her name is Ilhan Abdullahi Omar. The reported name discrepancies do not establish a familial relationship or prove immigration fraud.
