Dhanteras brought festive cheer to markets across the Tricity on Friday, with jewellery showrooms, automobile dealerships and utensil shops witnessing heavy footfall. A slight dip in gold prices, which stood at Rs 1,33,900 per 10 grams, further encouraged buyers, with purchases of gold and silver estimated at around Rs 100 crore across the Tricity.
