Zutaten:
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup warm water
- ½ tsp sea salt
Arbeitsschritte:
- Add the brown sugar to a saucepan.
- Heat over medium-low heat until it begins to melt.
- Stir the sugar regularly, as it can burn if not moved around.
- Once melted, allow it to cook for 3-5 minutes until it reaches a deep dark brown color, almost black.
- Remove from heat. Add the sea salt, then carefully and slowly add the warm water to the brown sugar liquid. Slowly whisk the water into the brown sugar as you add it.
- Allow it to fully cool and store it in an airtight container for use in recipes.
