2026 National Buffalo Soldiers Day, observed on July 28, we stood on the steps of our California State Capitol and proclaimed an entire year of celebration and now on the 3rd Sunday in August at the Buffalo Soldiers Post 333, SF War Memorial Veterans Building our 160th commemorative year opens a new chapter to provide the interpretive lens through which the California Buffalo Soldiers Heritage Trail can come alive, globally.
