BMC’s proposal to provide 13-inch tablets to 237 corporators has stalled after the BJP insisted on Indian-made devices. Advanced tablets available on the Government e-Marketplace are largely from foreign manufacturers. The plan aims to reduce paper, printing and distribution costs by giving corporators digital access to civic agendas and documents.
