Republican Senator Ted Cruz has issued a stark warning about Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, claiming American lives could be endangered if El-Sayed wins the election and is appointed to the Senate Intelligence Committee. Campaigning for Republican candidate Mike Rogers, Cruz argued that such an appointment could give El-Sayed access to highly classified information. He linked his warning to allegations of Muslim Brotherhood connections, which El-Sayed has denied. Cruz's remarks have intensified the national security controversy surrounding Michigan's closely watched Senate race.
