LVM3 Tech Transfer: Adani, Mahindra Among Firms Eyeing ISRO’s ‘Bahubali’ Rocket - Times of India Videos
India is opening another major part of its space sector to private industry, with several leading companies considering a technology-transfer partnership with ISRO for the LVM3 rocket, popularly known as ‘Bahubali’. Larsen & Toubro, JSW, Adani Group and Mahindra are among the companies exploring the opportunity. The selected bidder will receive the know-how needed to manufacture, test, integrate, launch and commercially operate the heavy-lift rocket. The process could take up to 42 months, with the private partner working alongside ISRO and IN-SPACe to absorb the technology. The move follows similar efforts involving the SSLV and PSLV and is aimed at expanding India’s commercial space industry while allowing ISRO to focus more on scientific and deep-space missions.
