The CBI has booked Dahisar-based patent agent V. Bhatt over an alleged demand for Rs 1.65 lakh to influence a Patent Office official and facilitate a start-up’s patent grant. The agency said Bhatt later agreed to accept Rs 50,000 as part payment after discreet verification of the complaint.
