Men smash home, threaten pregnant wife in six-figure crypto heist | News | Independent TV
A hammer-wielding masked gang forced a victim to transfer hundreds of thousands of pounds in cryptocurrency after threatening to kill his pregnant wife. Crimestoppers put up a £10,000 reward in September after a young couple, who were expecting their third child, were attacked in their home in Smith’s Wood, Solihull. The West Midlands couple, who do not wish to be identified, were attacked after they came home at around 5:20pm on Saturday, 13 December 2025. They opened their front door, and three men got out of a car parked close by. The gang then forced their way into the property behind them. The men demanded that the couple transfer cryptocurrency, with instructions relayed by a fourth offender on a video call, in what police believe may have been a planned and targeted attack.
